The big question is: How do you choose the best sweetener?

What sweeteners do I use?

My personal favourites are raw honey, organic coconut sugar and stevia.

Raw Honey is filled with plenty of vitamins and minerals that is much needed to digest sweeteners.

Organic Coconut Sugar gives you the same satisfaction as when you use caramel brown sugar and tastes great! My children love it sprinkled over then bowl of oats in the mornings. It is a low-GI sweetener and is much healthier than ordinary sugar.

Stevia is also a great option if you want to control the amount of calories you consume daily. Beware that it is 200 times sweeter than sugar! A few drops will do the trick. Stevia is actually a herb, not a sweetener. Stevia has NO calories and tastes very sweet, but it does have a strange taste, especially if you are not used to it.
