Green smoothies are a great way to get more greens into your diet. In this recipe, I combined kale and almond butter for a rich and creamy version. I am crazy about almond butter. It adds something magical every time I use it.
If you prefer a more paleo friendly version of this recipe, you can substitute the banana with an avocado and add some stevia for sweetness.
This smoothie will probably be more popular under adults than children. If you want to make a more child friendly version, I would suggest that you use one cup of kale (instead of two) and add some vanilla yogurt. My daughter was very excited to hold the smoothie for the picture, but she said the kale taste was too strong. I loved it though. That is how we learn.
I hope you enjoy this healthy green smoothie and that it will add some happiness to your day!
