Although bananas are a very low-fat food (less than 4% of their calories come from fat), one type of fat that they do contain in small amounts are sterols that help block the absorption of dietary cholesterol. Bananas therefore help to keep our blood cholesterol levels in check.

Ingredients
- 2 cups spelt flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups bananas mashed (about 4 - 5 bananas)
- 1/2 cup apples grated
- 1/2 cup honey raw
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 cup coconut oil extra virgin, melted (you can also use melted butter if you like)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl.
- Add the mashed bananas and grated apple and mix well.
- Add the honey, water and oil and mix using a wooden spoon. Place the raw mixture into oiled muffin moulds and bake for 35 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the muffin pan.
